Selected because easy access to Atlantic beaches and a quiet atmosphere are the unique attributes of this site just outside Royan. Situated opposite a small beach that disappears at high tide, and 300m from the famous Grande Côte, another huge stretch of beautiful safe sandy beach. It is a quiet site with no organised entertainment but is easy walking distance of bars and restaurants. Access to the beaches more than compensates for the lack of swimming pool. You can enjoy stunning sunsets on the beach opposite with the famous oyster nets as a backdrop.

No organised activities on site, but you can enjoy cycling on tracks directly from the campsite to the long wild beach of "La Grande Côte" and pine-forest of "La Coubre", and as far as the small seaside resort of Ronce-les Bains. Also from the gate of the campsite, facing the Atlantic Ocean, follow the coastal footpath called "Chemin des douaniers". The "Customs Officers" footpath will lead you to the resort of Saint-Palais sur-Mer and even farther!

Five separate toilet blocks, although one only has 4 WCs and there is a small one opposite the reception. There are three main blocks which are all clean and well maintained with separate ladies/gents have WCs with toilet paper, showers with temperature control taps and hooks. One block has been completely modernised with family rooms containing showers and washbasins together. The other two have been partially revamped. Disabled facilities. Baby room. Chemical waste point. Separate laundry.
From N150. Continue thropughg Saigon and as you approach Royan turn onto the D25 towards Les Mathes. Stay on the D25 for 10km and turn left towards St Palais and La Grande Cote. As you reach the coast there are cliffs on your right and the entrance to the campsite is on your left after 400m.
