Selected because of its location on the west coast of the Ile d'Oléron, the largest island off the French Atlantic coast. The campsite has direct access to the beach and is protected by fabulous sand dunes. It is an area popular for windsurfing, sea kayaking and kite surfing. The campsite has a pretty entrance and has been owned and run by the same family for the last 50 years, so there is a lovely friendly ambience. It has recently acquired its fourth star. Although one of the best sites on the island, the beach can at times be covered in seaweed when it is less suitable for swimming. The beaches to the south of the island are usually unaffected.

An excellent aqua complex with good waterslides coming down into a separate basin, an attractive generous sized pool for swimming with jacuzzi which can be covered in low season and is heated to 28°. A pretty children's pool with mini waterslide and mushroom shower. Good sunbathing terrace with sunloungers.

From Marennes take the D718 in the direction of l'Ile d'Oléron. Cross over the bridge (toll free) and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit on the D26E2. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the D26. Continue along this road in the direction of La Cotinière, Domino and Chaucre. The entrance to the site is on your left after 10km shortly after the road moves away from the coast. Although the postal address is St Georges d'Oléron the site is situated between the little villages of Cotinière and Domino.
