Selected as this is a spacious well laid-out campsite with caring owners who create a very friendly ambience. Situated just back from the hustle and bustle of the coast it is a good choice for those looking for a restful holiday. A new waterpark is opening for the 2016 season. Although a fairly large site with a large number of British visitors, it does not feel commercial at all. Situated on the edge of a pine forest in a rural setting and just a 10-minute drive from the wonderful sandy beaches of La Grande Côte. The site was once a farm and has a fabulously spacious feel. It is laid out along three sides of a grassy open field leaving plenty of space between the pitches and the converted outbuildings which house the reception, games room and other services. You can expect a warm welcome from the friendly Gagnard family who are keen to maintain a quiet, peaceful, atmosphere.

The new water park has a 430 m² heated pool, with a large covered area. 2 paddling pools with mini water slide and waterfall for the little ones, 3 slides and a current river for the older children. Swimmers can enjoy 2 larges swimming areas, indoor and outdoor. For relaxation, jacuzzi, anatomical seats and massage river.
One brand new attractively tiled toilet block where there are some family rooms with shower and washbasins together. Temperature control taps in sinks and showers. Three further toilet blocks, all built in a similar style. They are not especially well appointed, but are very clean and well maintained. Toilet paper outside cubicle Push button showers, no temperature control and no hooks. Water can be a bit tepid in high season and you may have to queue. Some individual wash basins and some open ones. Washing up sinks on outside of blocks. Laundry. Chemical waste point.
Arriving on the N150 from Saujon or the D733 from Rochefort, take the D25 Royan ringroad in the direction of La Palmyre and St Palais-sur-Mer. Continue following these signs through 3 roundabouts, following the sign for St Augustin on leaving the third one. At the next set of traffic lights fork right on the D145 in the direction of St Augustin. Go throught the hamlet of Lafont, then turn left. The campsite is situated opposite the temple.
