Selected as this is site is a superb choice for families. It has a magnificent waterpark including a large indoor pool and occupies a unique location on the banks of the Lac du Jaunay. It is set in the heart of the countryside with direct access to the lake from the site down a specially created path. The lake is ideal for fishing and many holidaymakers enjoy cycling or walking round the lake. There is no actual beach on the lake by the site and swimming is not generally encouraged. It is only a 15-minute drive to the nearest beaches, but well away from the hustle and bustle of the coastal towns. The site is renowned for the warm welcome from the friendly owners, who are constantly upgrading the site. It is an ideal low season choice because of the superb indoor pool and the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.

Excellent children's playpool with water features, (1/6 -15/9). Superb indoor heated swimming pool 12 m x 12m, steam room and gym -open all season. New for 2014: two waterslides for rubber boats including one which is 80m long. Probably one of the best complexes in the Vendée.
4 toilet blocks. Generally well maintained, water heated by solar panels. The toilet block nearest the reception has recently been completely renovated to a high specification and is heated in low season. It is light and spacious, beautifully tiled with pink doors for the ladies, green doors for the men and several family cabins with shower and washbasin together. The other blocks are all respectable and well maintained - toilet seats but paper not provided. Individual wash basins. Push button temperature control showers. Disabled facilities. Baby room. Washing machines. Tumble dryers. Chemical waste point.
From the A83 motorway south take exit 4 onto D763 and then D937 in direction of La Roche-sur-Yon. As you approach La Roche-sur-Yon take the D948 in direction of Challans to Aizenay. At Aizenay take the D6 in the direction of St Gilles. After 10km turn left to La Chapelle Hermier. In the centre of the village turn right and turn left after 2½km towards Lac du Jaunay. The site is on your right just before you reach the lake.
