Selected as this site is now probably one of the best on the Ile de Ré. It has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and is just an 800m from the pretty town of Ars-en-Re and a 500m walk from the beach, which is great for rock-pooling at low tide and for swimming. Set amongst fields of vineyards, and divided in two by a minor road, the services and facilities include an excellent aqua complex. It is a great choice for cycling with easy access to the network of cycle paths that abound on the island.

88 two-bedroomed mobile homes of different varieties including one equipped for the disabled. 6 three-bedroomed mobile homes and 14 privately owned mobile homes. Two Safari tents. Two "Coco suites" for glampers - a cross between a caravan and a tent.
The pitches are all laid out near the reception. They are flat, sandy, sunny and divided by low hedges. They vary in size, but some are suitable for 7m caravans. The mobile homes on site are not given a generous amount of space.

Two heated swimming pools and a children's pool area with small water slide. The first rectangular pool 250m² is ideal for swimming, and the second 110m² is for relaxing. There is also a separate jacuzzi basin. Large sun bathing terrace with sun loungers and parasols. All on the opposite side of the road from the pitches.
Two separate very well appointed unisex blocks which have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Temperature controlled showers with hooks and a shelf. There are several family rooms with showers and washbasins together in the 2nd block. Toilet paper. Washing machines and tumble dryers.
Take the N237 ring road to the north of La Rochelle and follow signs to Ile de Ré. Take the toll bridge (16 return in summer 2012) on the D735. Stay on the D735 past La Flotte and St Martin and when you arrive on the outskirts of Ars-en-Ré stay on the D735 with the village on your right. Stay on the road round the village and you take a right angle turn. The road leading to the site is 200 metres on your left through the vineyards.
