Selected primarily because of its unique position next to the famous 107m high Dune du Pyla, and its direct access to a lovely stretch of safe, sandy beach. It is laid out in a pine forest on the side of a hill and is heavily terraced with lovely views from some of the pitches over the Arcachon basin. Access throughout the site is up steep hills and steps, so it is not suitable for wheelchairs. There is a wide range of activities and facilities attracting a good mixture of nationalities.

Pitches are set on terraces under pine trees and quite a few are on a slope. They are defined but vary dramatically in size, so it is important to be precise about size of outfit when booking, especially as there are trees in strategic spots on the pitches. Some are suitable for large outfits. The larger pitches are on the right hand side of the site.

Pretty heated pool complex at the bottom of the site, decorated with palm trees and shrubs. It includes a lagoon, good sized practice pool 18m x 8, and children's fun pool with mushroom shower. There is a separate basin for the 47m waterslide, a sun terrace made of decking and sun loungers. Jacuzzi, sauna.
Seven sanitary blocks with separate mens and ladies are respectable. Toilets with paper in outside dispenser. Push button, temperature controlled showers with hooks, shelf and rail. There are some cabins with showers and washbasins together. Washing up facilities but no draining board. Chemical disposal point. Laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers.
From A63 North take exit 22 onto the A660 towards Arcachon. Continue to end of A660 towards La Teste -de-Buch and after 4km take the slip road onto the D259 towards Biscarosse and Dune du Pyla. After 4.5km turn left onto the D218 and continue for a further 4km. The site entrance is on your right. From the south the quickest route is to follow the A63 to the junction with the A660 and continue as above.
