Selected at this lovely little site on the edge of the route to the famous Mont Ventoux has excellent facilities and is 500m from the beautiful town and amphitheatre of Vaison-la-Romaine. The town is also well known for its superb medieval cathedral, cloisters and chapel. The fields around are full of vines and lavender, and towering over them 1912m high about 30km away is the magnificent Mont Ventoux, famous for hosting the Tour de France. The friendly owner runs the site to a very high standard and maintains a quiet peaceful atmosphere. Tarmaced roads throughout the site are great for keeping the site clean and tidy. the There is no organised entertainment at all. Two immaculately clean and well maintained unisex toilet blocks. One of them is attractively tiled in the shape of a courtyard with a flower bed as the central point. The other is heated. Push button, temperature control showers with hooks and shelf. Individual wash cubicles and toilets with toilet paper and washbasins. Disabled facilities. Baby room. Laundry. Chemical waste point.
The site is in the north east of the town near the ancient roman theatre. From the A7 take exit 4 and follow the D950 towards Carpentras. After 4.5km turn onto the D977 to Vaison-la-Romaine. On arrival at Vaison cross over the river and take the D938 towards Nyons. Continue along the D938 following signs to the site and at the roundabout take the third exit along Ave Pierre Brossolet. Turn left at the T-junction into Chemin du Brusquet.
