Northern France
Selected as this is an impressive Castels site less than a 20-minute drive from Calais ferry and Eurotunnel terminals. Good for overnight and longer stays. The site is set in the spacious grounds of an 18th century manor house. A delightful gourmet restaurant and other services are housed in the attractive outbuildings. The site is laid out with pretty trees, shrubs and flowers and is well maintained. There is always a friendly atmosphere, but it can be very busy in the high season as there are a large number of arrivals and departures each day. Although a good overnight stop but a longer stay is highly recommended, as there is plenty to see and do in the region. The site is also situated on the 'Via Francigena' pilgrim walk from Canterbury to Rome.
