Selected because this Castels site is situated just a 20-minute drive from the port at Cherbourg in a naturally landscaped area between sea and forest. It gets its name from the adjacent stark cliff face and enjoys views over a beautiful stretch of sandy beach in a sheltered cove. It is an ideal spot for overnight stops and short stays. The unique hill top setting offers a lovely view from the bar/snack over the bay. The site is not that suitable for the disabled as it is quite a steep climb to top of site where pitches are laid out. Direct access to the beach via a small bridge and coastal walks are a bonus. The site has now got some of the best sanitary facilities in Normandy. *Clef Verte*

Flat and grassy laid out on terraces, defined by trees and shrubs, varying in size. Some have lovely views over the bay. Strong pegs are needed for tents and awnings. The new premium pitches are 150m² with 16 amp electrical hook up and water, have a sea view, garden furniture, barbecue, fridge, summerhouse for storage and free internet access at bar for an hour a day.

The site is 10km east of Cherbourg. Follow the D116 coastal road through Bretteville-en-Saire. The site entrance is well sign posted to your right.
