Selected because as its name suggests, this site is situated 1000m high in the Pyreneen mountains and is a true paradise for nature lovers. It is a spacious verdant site with stunning views all round. Beautifully maintained with an abundance of trees, plants and flowers, the new owners have created a warm welcoming and very peaceful atmosphere. They are keen to share their love of nature and the beauty of their region with all their visitor. Guided walks allow you to see Pyrenean chamois, marmots, eagles, vultures and lammergeiers. Generous sized, flat, grassy pitches divided by shrubs giving a very spacious feel. Only breathable groundsheets are allowed. Special VIP or premium pitches 130m² with 10 amp electricity, water & drainage, garden furniture, sun loungers, parasol, fridge, barbecue and storage shed.

Small shop selling basics and fresh vegetables. Serve yourself and pay at reception. Pre-order bread. Comfortable bar area in lovely stone-faced building with upholstered seats and pretty terrace. Amazing selection of beers and whiskies on offer. Excellent varied take-away menu including set price 3-course meals. The bar/restaurant/takeaway is also open to passing cyclists and walkers. Barbecues allowed. Dogs accepted. Wifi.

No swimming pool, but little beach on stream running beside site, good for paddling. Swimming is possible in any of the 20 lakes nearby. There is an open-air heated pool in Arrens Marsous 4km.
Two well-equipped toilet blocks, immaculately maintained. Push button temperature control showers with hook, rail, shelf and stool outside. Individual wash cubicles. Toilets with toilet paper. Disabled facilities. Baby room. Washing machine and tumble dryer. Chemical waste point.
From Argelès-Gazost take the D102 towards Col d'Aubisque. Stay on this road past Arras-en-Lavedan for 8km and then turn left onto the D13 to Bun. Continue through Bun and turn right at the junction with the D103. The site is a further 4km along this road with the entrance to your right.
