Selected as this Castels site set in the spacious grounds of an attractive classic style 19th century château on the outskirts of Le Mans has undergone considerable improvements over the last three years and well deserves its 5 star rating. Hidden in the heart of the French countryside it is ideal for short stop-overs as well as longer stays for those who prefer a relaxing atmosphere. The woods surrounding the site provide plenty of space for walks. The château houses the reception, bar and indoor games. You can walk into the village of Sillé-le-Philippe from the back of the site. During the weeks leading up to the Le Mans 24-hour race and the Classic Car race the site is busy and very lively. High season activities and prices apply during these two periods. In 2016 the Le Mans 24 hours race is 18th and 19th June and the Classic is the 8th to 10th July. There is also a minimum booking period of 3 days at these times.

From A11. Take exit 7 to Le Mans Centre and Tours, follow the D338 and then at the ringroad, take the D313 towards Le Mans, Le Mans-zone Industrielle-nord, Coulaines. After 3km exit onto the D301 towards Bonnetable. Continue for 10km past Savigné l'Evêque and the site is signposted to your right at the top of a rise after a further 2km.
