Selected as this is a spacious family-run site not far from the magnificent fairy tale city of Carcassonne. There are superb panoramic views over the surrounding Malepère and Corbière hills and it has a huge, very attractive Roman baths style aqua complex. The site is laid out on terraces and surrounded by open land giving it a very spacious feel. Access to the site is through a narrow entrance and up a fairly steep hill to the pitches, but it is suitable for large outfits with a good towing vehicle. It is an ideal spot for those who wish to combine a quiet atmosphere with a visit to the Cathar castles of the Aude region. We recommend it for a few days stopover, particularly if you are on the way to Spain.

A Greco-Roman amphitheatre style aquatic centre with 4 basins including a 25m swimming pool not heated, a lazy river with counter current, a jacuzzi, a spa and a paddling pool, surrounded by 3000m² of tiered sun terraces, with sun loungers.
Three unisex toilet blocks. The two nearest reception continue the Greco-Roman theme built round a quadrangle decorated with statues and plants. They are well appointed, attractively tiled and maintained to a high standard. Spacious showers and washbasins together, push button showers but no temperature control. Toilets with paper. Disabled facilities. Baby room. Washing machines and tumble dryer. The third block is respectable. Chemical waste point.
From Carcassonne take the D118 south from Carcassonne and by-pass the small village of Rouffiac d'Aude. Continue on the small section of dual carriageway and at the roundabout you will need to turn right to Montclar. Continue up the narrow road for 2.5km and the site is signposted sharp left and up the hill before the village.
