Selected as this is a top quality Castels site in the grounds of beautiful 15th century château at the heart of a pretty hamlet, dominated by a church tower. It is laid out in three flat terraces on the side of a hill, with the reception on the lower level. The swimming pools and bar/restaurant are at the top. Cream-coloured stonework and lovely arches are the predominant features of all the restored buildings. The well tended trees and shrubs give the site a lush verdant feeling. You can enjoy a Mediterranean climate and use it as a centre for exploring the many attractions of Provence. The Cevennes, the Camargue, the Pont du Gard and the Gorges de l'Ardèche are all within striking distance. An excellent sized rectangular heated outdoor pool 25m x 15m with a good waterslide. Paddling pool with mushroom shower. Attractive sun terrace but no sun loungers. Heated indoor pool 14m x 8m.
Two very well appointed toilet blocks, both attractively tiled. Temperature control showers with hook, shelf and rail. Individual wash cubicles and toilets with paper. Disabled facilities and baby room in the block at the top. Laundry facilities in the block the bottom. Chemical waste point.
The site is off the D16 North East of Alès. Exit the A7 at junction 19, take the D994 to Pont-St-Esprit then the N86 to Bagnols-sur-Cèze. Turn west onto D6, following signs to Alès. After 35km turn right onto the D7 to Brouzet and Navacelles. After 10km at the roundabout connecting the D37 and D16, take the D16 and the campsite is on your right.
