Selected because, as its name suggests, this site is a paradise of luscious vegetation filled with over 100 different types of plants. It is a beautifully maintained site run by a friendly Dutch family whose priority is to protect and conserve the environment. Since the site opened in 1967, the family have gradually created a campsite in a botanical garden. Direct access to the river via a landing stage is a great attraction. The sanitary facilities are among the best in France. It is a real pleasure to stay in such verdant surroundings and yet be only a short drive from all the main tourist attractions of the Perigord region. *Clef Verte*. Eco label.

A very attractive complex of three pools surrounded by banana trees and other plants, a large one for swimming 25m x 10m, a medium-sized one and a paddling pool. Generous sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. Beautiful new indoor pool with retractable roof together with sauna, steam bath and spa.
Two well appointed toilet blocks beautifully designed round a quad decorated with plants and flowers and well lit through glass roof and walls. Spacious family rooms with shower, washbasin and toilets together. Push button temperature control showers with hooks and shelf. Both blocks have attractive tiling and are kept very clean. The site is located along the Vézère River, between Montignac and Les Eyzies. From Périgueux take the A89 towards Brive then the N89 towards Le Lardin St Lazare where you turn onto the D704 to Montignac. Drive through Montignac and take the D706 to St Léon-sur-Vézère. The site is on your left about 2km south from St Léon-sur-Vézère.
