Selected as this Dutch-owned site is in a fabulous location in the grounds of a charming 19th century château complete with fairy tale towers. It has an excellent pool area and attractive fishing lakes. The services are all in the converted stone-faced outbuildings set round a pretty courtyard. It is set in the unspoilt countryside of the Northern Périgord, good for cycling but a complete contrast to the central Dordogne area. It is quite lively in high season and generally well maintained. *Clef Verte*

24 mobile homes and chalets, 1,2 and 3 bedrooms for 2/6 persons. Gypsy caravans. 50 privately owned mobile homes. Rooms in the château.
Mostly flat and grassy, set out in terraces, divided by hedges offering a mixture of shade and sun. A real variety of sizes. Some have recently been extended to cope with larger outfits. The most generously sized ones are at the back of the site and have good views over the surrounding countryside. 8 pitches have their own facilities -shower, toilet, sink. There are now 4 VIP pitches with toilet facilities, barbecue, table, fridge and 2 sunbeds.

Excellent sized rectangular pool 25m x 8m. 37m waterslide. Paddling pool 12m x 8m. Pretty sun terrace with sun loungers with view of château behind.
Three unisex toilet blocks. Main one in converted barn is best. There is a new one is in a very upmarket type of portakabin. One near the mobile homes could do with renovating. All kept clean and respectable. Push button showers, no temperature control, hooks. Individual wash basins and toilets. Disabled facilities and excellent children's and baby room in main block with washbasins and toilets at different heights. Laundry. Chemical waste point.
From A20. Follow N21 in direction of Périgueux until you reach Chalus. Turn right towards Nontron on D6Bis & D85. After 20km turn left at crossroads onto D96 to St Saud. The campsite is on the left. From Nontron. Take the D707 to St Pardoux-la Rivière and turn left after 3km onto D85. After 9km turn right onto D96 and continue as above.
