Selected as this little site is in a fabulous location 960m high at the foot of the Oisans mountain range and on the banks of the river Vénéon. It is also just a 300m walk from a new 6 seater chair lift that takes you up to Les Deux Alpes ski resort in both summer and winter. From the ski resort another cable car takes you on further to the glacier right at the top. It is a pretty well maintained site offering a quiet but welcoming ambiance with a good mixture of nationalities. Mountain enthusiasts will find numerous activities nearby including winter and summer ski-ing. Venosc is just a short walk and has several restaurants and two shops selling local produce and artefacts. *Clef Verte*

Flat, some grass, but quiet hard, so need good pegs, 80² - 120m². Not hedged, divided by the occasional tree, so open feel. Best pitches overlook river which is not fenced off.

Table tennis. Boules pitch. Sauna 6pm 9pm. Indoor games room, library and TV room heated in winter. Children's play area and tennis, just outside site near pool. Trout fishing with permit.
No organised entertainment, but numerous daytime activities available nearby including walks (the GR54 goes past the site), cycling, mountain biking, rafting, paragliding, via ferrata and donkey riding. There is a rafting and canyoning centre 500m from the site.
Adventure Park in woods, donkey riding, cable car to Les Deux Alpes and Venosc: all walking distance. St Christophe-en-Oisans 6km. Bourg d'Oisans 15km. La Bérarde 18km. Tour de France cycle routes: Col du Lauteret and Col du Galibier. Cascade de la Muzelle. Lauvitel and Muzelle lakes.

No shop, but pre-order bread and croissants baked on site. Basic provisions in reception- milk, ham eggs, wine, camping gaz and walking maps. etc. Bar and take-away (15/6 23/8) Barbecues allowed. Dogs accepted. Wi-Fi throughout site.

No swimming pool on site, but pretty outdoor municipal pool with waterslide next door, open 10am - 7pm, only in the summer: adults 3 euros, children 2 euros. Swimming in the river is not allowed.
A very clean toilet block, a bit old but very comfortable, newly repainted and heated in winter. Separate ladies and gents. Three shower and wash cubicles together, six further very spacious showers with push button temperate control water, hooks and shelf. Nine individual wash basins. Toilets with seats and toilet paper. Drying room for ski gear. Baby room. Disabled facilities. Separate laundry. Chemical waste point.
From Grenoble. In Grenoble follow signs to Vizille,"stations de l'Oisans" or Briançon. In Vizille take the N91 towards Briançon. About 5km past Bourg d'Oisans turn right onto the D530 towards Venosc, La Bérarde. The campsite is 8km along this road on the right, 300 metres after the cable-car arrival point from Venosc - Les 2 Alpes.
