A little gem of a campsite. Very friendly reception and great views. The facilities are very clean and plenty of toilets and showers. It's a bit out of the way halfway up the mountain but well worth the trip. We walked up to the top of the mountain from the campsite but there's a chair lift if you want to take it easy. Swimming pool is heated.

As the previous review says, there has been development of the facilities of this site. When we arrived it was the French bank holiday so the site was full, however, the pitches were big enough to make us feel that we weren't too cramped to others. The campsite was a little more expensive than others, costing us 33 euros a night whereas our previous site was only nineteen. However, we were prepared to pay this as it was great to end our holiday with such great facilities and an amazing view over the valley and to Mont Blanc which were incomparable to other sites we looked at in the valley. Our girls loved the swimming pool whilst, with three young children, it was really useful to have use of a free washing machine and drying room. Also available were table tennis, volleyball, a kitchen and a tv lounge as well as clean, free showers and a baby room. There were numerous vending machines for cold drinks, icecreams, and hot drinks as well as use of a chest freezer which was stocked with bottles of frozen water to keep your coolbox cold and then, of course, the daily visit by the baker's van each morning. The road to the site was a little narrow and windy but proved no problem for a large campervan. Once on site we didn't need to move the van due to the free hourly shuttlebus down to Les Gets, only ten minutes walk from the site, which linked to other very cheap and regular bus services to nearby towns in the valley.

The campsite has just had a sort of expansion, as it now features a swimming pool and a new shower block. I'm not sure if other reviewers didn't discover the whole site, but I would say there is more than a "basic toilet block". The main building consists of; 1. Toilet block - showers, toilets, sinks, changing rooms, and includes a hair dryer. The toilet block also includes a washing up area and a drying room which is basically like a big airing cupboard. Very useful for drying clothes, towels, shoes, etc. There is also a washing machine and dryer which I didn't use but I did see others using. 2. Kitchen/Games Room - There is a small kitchen with a 4 ring electric hob and a microwave, plus 2 sinks for washing up. There are currently 3 tables in this room for eating/hanging out and also a pool table and a fussball table. It was very nice to have somewhere dry to cook when the weather did turn. 3. NEW SHOWER/TOILET block - Next to the new swimming pool is a toilet/shower block. The showers here are solar powered and so if it's sunny they are VERY hot, otherwise it could be a bit chilly. They are all brand new, very clean, and work well. 4. Baker - The baker drives up to the campsite every morning at 8am. You'll know he's coming by the 7 toots of his horn. He has brown and white baguettes, plus pain au chocolat and croissants. Prices are reasonable. There are 2 table tennis tables, 1 by the main building and 1 by the swimming pool. There is a very powerful jetwash for cleaning bikes and a tool station with some basic kit. The campsite is located high above les gets and so you can't easily walk into or out of town. By bike it takes about 3 minutes to get into town and a lot longer to pedal back up the hill! You can ride down to the campsite from the Mt Chery lift but the lift closes at approximately 5pm. The cost structure of the campsite is as follows; 1. Cost per pitch 20/night - this includes 1 car, 1 tent, and 2 people. 2. Additional People 7/night - this applies if the extra person is staying in your tent or in their own tent. (Children are charged at 5/night). The campsite is mainly filled with mountain bikers and I would highly recommend it. The views are amazing, the pitches are large, and you get fresh pain au chocolat every morning!

A brilliant site for getting away from it all, a perfect spot for mountain bike enthusiasts and hikers. Very basic in terms of facilities but toilet block is well maintained and clean. Really impossible to get a large outfit up the hill to reach site. Only suitable for small motorhomes and tents.

We have decided to include this site because we simply fell in love with the views. There are lots of showers and we had plenty of hot water. The pitches vary a lot in size but access is difficult for large outfits so this should not be a problem.
