Alps
Selected because this delightful little site is renowned for its quiet peaceful atmosphere and is only 800m from the lake. Situated on the western side of Lake Annecy near Doussard, it enjoys stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The profusion of flowers and well trimmed hedges create a good first impression and it attracts a good cross-section of nationalities. A cycle track next to the site will take you to the town of Annecy which is a bonus as the roads are very busy in high season. There are good beaches along the lakeside and plenty of places to visit in the area by bike, on foot in the mountains, or for day trips by car. The site has recently been sold and has a dynamic new owner, so some changes can be expected.
