Burgundy, Jura and Franche Comte
Selected because of its superb setting in the magnificent wooded parkland of an elegant 16th century château, just a few kilometres from the main motorway going south. This Castels site attracts visitors to return time and again. The site is laid out in two spacious areas. One is near the château and the other is across a small causeway over the pretty fishing lake, overhung with weeping willows. The services are housed in the pretty stone-faced outbuildings. It a good centre for exploring the region and offers a calm relaxing atmosphere. The site is always well maintained and renowned for its delightful gourmet restaurant in the château. There are also wine tastings in the 14th century vaulted cellars three times a week.
